BGO ForeverGreen Program Refresh
Various Locations, Canada
Pratus Group was retained by BGO to refresh and update their ForeverGreen tenant engagement program, ensuring continued alignment with evolving green building certification requirements and ESG best practices across BGO's global portfolio. The work was structured across three deliverables: an operational sustainability policy suite, a property manager sustainability handbook, and a tenant sustainability handbook tailored to four building typologies.
Pratus conducted a comprehensive crosswalk of BOMA BEST v4, Fitwel v3.0, and LEED v5 requirements to identify gaps, overlaps, and opportunities for alignment, a process similar to the proposed integration of LEED v5, Toronto Green Standard, Zero Carbon Building Standard, WELL, ASHRAE, and University-specific requirements within the SBDS.
A key component of the assignment was translating high-level sustainability policies into practical, user-focused guidance. Through stakeholder engagement and interviews, Pratus developed a Property Manager Sustainability Handbook and a series of Tenant Sustainability Handbooks that provided clear implementation pathways, responsibilities, tools, and checklists tailored to different building typologies.
The project demonstrates Pratus Group's ability to develop implementation frameworks that bridge policy and practice, support stakeholder adoption, and drive consistent sustainability outcomes across a complex portfolio.
